Jean Gilreath is a Key Contributor and Strategic Partner in Human Resources with over 25 years of progressive, global experience in industries ranging from Fortune 500 companies to medium sized businesses, including start-up operations. Jean has brought her high energy leadership to manufacturing operations, high tech software development, and the retail industry. She has experience at both the corporate and division staff levels, and international experience in Europe, Latin America and Asia.


In 2006, Jean launched her HR consulting firm, js gilreath consulting, with the vision to be a key partner with client organizations that value human capital and share the vision that people are contributors to business success. Since the initiation of js gilreath consulting, the firm has worked with a full gamut of companies in a variety of industries. Ms. Gilreath has a proven record with her business analytical skills for quick assessment, practical problem solving and strong project management. Throughout her career, Jean has demonstrated her skills in solving the people side of business problems and effective change management. Her abilities have excelled within the international community and been noted by her sphere of influence throughout her corporate and client companies. Finding the HR functions both challenging and rewarding, Jean began her career as an Industrial Engineer and migrated through a progressive management career in Human Resources. As an experienced HR senior generalist with strong leadership responsibilities and multi-site management, Jean has been an influential corporate management member, working with senior executive management and boards.


Ms. Gilreath holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University and a master’s degree from Western Carolina University. She holds professional certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) and certification as Global Remuneration Professional (GRP). Jean is also an adjutant professor teaching at the graduate level in compensation and benefits.


She is a national and local member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), International Coaching Federation (ICF) and WorldatWork (former American Compensation Association), as well as serving on a number of professional Boards, such as the Charlotte Area Compensation Council (CACC).


As an extensive traveler, Jean and her family chose to live in the Lake Norman area of Charlotte, North Carolina. She enjoys traveling, reading, and gardening under the great Carolina blue sky.
